Whale Watching Close Encounters Near the Channel Islands

Captain Cooper will meet you at the Ventura Marina and take you on half or whole day trips to the pristine waters off the Channel Islands--right in the path of more than 26,000 migrating gray whales traveling twice a year between Alaska and Mexico. From December to February they swim south to give birth to their calves, then return north with their calves from late February until early April. Often you can spot killer whales and humpback whales. You will also have a chance to catch a glimpse of an endangered blue whale. Porpoise and sea lions are also common.
