Ocean Fish Report

Now at the start of the real fishing season we have some of the best rockfishing of the year at Santa Rosa Island. We fish Santa Rosa Island in shallow water with light tackle. With bait and plastics we catch lots of BIG reds along with all the other species of rock fish and calicos.

Halibut are going full bore at the Islands and the are exicting!

The big halibut are starting to move in and they are hungry. Soon the will move on to the beach for thier spawning run and we can catch them very shallow. Right now they are a little deeper.

.Freshwater Fish Report

Fishing on the Owens near Bishop can be very productive this time of year. We have Able Travel Crafts and Watermasters for floating the Owens or almost any other rivers. Lake Crowley is fishing fantastic now with Midge patterns. I caught Brown trout up to six pounds last weekend. Here are a couple of shots of nice rainbows caught last weekend.
